2018 got off to a great start and we’re already into February so here’s a quick run down of what we’ve been up to in January.
1,200 new enquiries in 6 months
Your New Smile is a dental lead generation company that connects patients with dental practices – and we’re the magicians behind the lead generation!
January saw us hit a great milestone of 1,200 new customer enquiries achieved within 6 months. The client is delighted with the results we’ve helped them achieve and has now added a further 2 dental practices for us to work our magic on!
From website to countryside in a matter of clicks
Upwood Holiday Park is a caravan park based in Hawarth. We’d been working on their website throughout November and December and set it live in January. As always our focus was on user journeys and funneling the user through to key calls to action such as making bookings.

In addition to this we’d also been working hard on creating user flows for a community rail website we’re going to be launching in March. We love the challenge of a big job and that’s exactly what this was!
We really love getting our teeth stuck into a large 3 month project but also regularly receive requests to work on small design jobs and we had plenty to work on in January.
We designed and printed a banner for a recruitment fair for Queensmead School. We Designed A5 double sided flyers for a designer furniture manufacturer. We created a detailed presentation for a construction company to help them give that wow factor when pitching for new projects. We also designed A6 postcards for the Saltaire Festival as part of our pro bono initiative in supporting the local community. Our digital designer, Si, definitely had a busy month!
Keeping learning at the forefront
The digital sector is one that changes almost daily so we always make time for learning new skills and keeping up to date on the latest movements in the digital world.
Our web developer Ryan continued PHP training and completed his Google Analytics exam, well-done Ryan! Si is our digital designer, but as part of our initiative to push everyone’s learning boundaries, his objective for 2018 is to learn how to build websites. He successfully completed the first part of his HTML training and is now moving onto CSS training. Our Operations Manager and SEO expert, Simon, continued to read up around the latest goings on in the SEO world and Jag polished up on online assessments for clients. A busy month of learning for the whole team!
We’re also happy to announce that Ryan celebrated 1 year at Xpand and also completed a 6 month progression plan to move into the role of Senior Web Developer. Well done Ryan (again)!
Jag celebrated his birthday at the end of January and the team bought him Star Wars related pressies to feed his inner nerd and last but not least, we found the perfect candidate for the new role of Digital Marketer. Watch this space for more information on our newest team member!
Strategising for the year ahead
As for most businesses, the new year is a great time to set new objectives and that’s exactly the case for us at Xpand. Jag worked hard throughout the last few months of 2017 to create 2018’s strategy and presented this to the team. Exciting times lay ahead!
