Commercial Expert

Commercial Expert, a commercial finance broker, originally approached us to create a new website for them. After a short discussion to understand their reasons for this, we established that they would benefit much more from creation of a complete marketing strategy. The managing director, Mike Coates, was immediately on board after seeing the results we'd achieved for other clients.

We immediately got to work with booking in a discovery session to understand everything about the business - where it had been, where it was at that point in time and where it wanted to go.

The strategy debrief lead to numerous outcomes. We applied our trademarked SOLAR 7 process which took us to a full brand refresh, including their key messaging and brand voice to ensure all their communications remained consistent.

The Commercial Expert team were blown away by what we had created, which was quickly passed on into a newly designed website, in which we carefully considered the architecture to ensure the best user experience.

Once we had the branding and website rolled out, this is where the really important part started - getting the new brand out in front of the right people.

We set about implementing their social media strategy that we had created as part of the overall strategy, which also nicely tied into our PR recommendations. The goal was to build the managing director's personal brand by creating articles and thought leadership pieces, which was accompanied by the company social media platforms that focused around building the company brand and the personal brand of all key team members.

An employee advocacy program was a fundamental part of our strategy - engaging the Commercial Expert team and giving them the tools to talk about their work.

We arranged full training around employee engagement and advocacy, which included training all team members on using LinkedIn to build connections and post/ engage regularly.
