Over the past nine years, we’ve always believed that active community and charity involvement to be very important. Birthdays are often a milestone for reflection. Today is our ninth birthday so we’re taking a look at nine charity and community initiatives we have been involved in since setting up.
2010 – 5k swim for Marie Curie
Our Director, Jag, undertook the 5k swimathon in aid of Marie Curie and raised a fantastic £1000 for the charity. The money helped Marie Curie to continue providing vital care for people living with terminal illness.
2011 – Jane Tomlinson 10k run
Jag donned the running shorts for the Jane Tomlinson 10k run, raising £500 for Bradford and Airedale Cancer Support (now known as Cancer Support Yorkshire).
2012 – Bradford YMCA
We provided the Bradford YMCA with pro bono branding and stationery design, capturing their heritage and providing this particular branch with their own unique identity.
2012 – Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge
As part of a series of fundraising events with one of our clients, Jag (right) and our PR Consultant Helen (centre) took on the gruelling Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge, braving gale-force winds, rain and fog! Our efforts contributed to the £60,831 raised in aid of the cardiac unit at Bradford Royal Infirmary.
2012 – Bradford & Airedale Cancer Support
Cancer charities are close to our heart, so when Bradford & Airedale Cancer Support (now known as Cancer Support Yorkshire) needed literature designing to celebrate their 25 anniversary, we provided the designs on a pro bono basis.
2015 – JCI Easter egg appeal
2015 saw us take part in the JCI Bradford Easter egg appeal for the first time, collecting eggs from staff, clients, suppliers and friends. We managed to collect 40 eggs for disadvantaged children in the Bradford region.
2015 – JCI Secret Santa appeal
We once again took part in a JCI Bradford appeal, this time for Secret Santa gifts. We collected 15 Christmas presents for children across Bradford and Kirklees.
2016 – JCI Easter egg appeal
Our second JCI Easter egg appeal saw us smash our target and collect 52 eggs and 36 assorted boxes of chocolate weighing over 25kg! It was another fantastic achievement that put a smile on so many children’s faces.
2016 – Saltaire Canteen
Our latest initiative for Saltaire Canteen saw us working with another local non-profit organisation. We provided an animation and website for the canteen, which is part of the Real Junk Food Project.
As well as our top nine charity initiatives, we continue to support charities with on-going donations and sponsorship. We’re always on the lookout for other community causes to get involved in. If you know of any small charity initiatives that we can take part in then let us know! We’re always happy to help where possible!
