Give back to your community. In business terms it’s called Corporate Social Responsibility. There are 2 very good reasons for doing this:
- Contributing time and/ or money to a good cause is never a bad thing.
- Let it be known that your company is contributing to a worthy cause. It will position your brand as socially responsible and ethical. This will help you win trust and gain and retain customers.
e.g. Xpand Marketing proactively help a local charity with any marketing requirements on a pro bono basis. We used some of their marketing work as one of our case studies. This led to a new client preferring to work with us over other suppliers as they liked the fact that we had a strong stance on social responsibility.
The moral of the story is – do good and good will come to you!
