No day is ever the same here at Xpand. As a busy full service agency, we generally have lots of different projects on at the same time, as well as making sure we continue to learn, and have fun while working! June was yet another busy month for us, with client work, trips out, and a very important birthday! Here’s what we got up to in June…
Xpand turns 11!
On the 28th June, we celebrated Xpand’s birthday – it’s been 11 whole years since Jag set the business up! We’ve come a long way since then, from Jag working alone from an office in his house to a team of 5, working from our studio in Saltaire. Happy birthday Xpand!
Happy Clients = Happy Xpand!
We’ve continued to achieve fantastic results for our clients, which is what we love to do! We’ve had some brilliant feedback on the website we built for Tag Search and Select, and they’re already getting lots of enquiries.
We’re continuing to work with our client Hargreaves Garden Spaces on their PPC. In line with stage six of our SOLAR 7 model, we’ve been reviewing and measuring the results and made some adjustments to the landing pages – which has resulted in an increase in enquiries.
We’ve also continued working with our long-standing client Your New Smile on their social media advertising. We’ve made a few adjustments to their ads in order to improve their results, and at the last count we’ve generated over 1600 new leads for them in just 10 months. YNS are so happy with the results they’re getting, they’ve brought a new practice in Newcastle on board – so watch this space for some more fantastic results!
If you’d like to chat about how we can help you get great results like these, give us a call – we’d love to chat.
Constructing a new website for a national shopfitting company
This month, we’ve started work on a new website for nationally recognised shopfitting and manufacturing company PEC. We’re looking forward to getting really stuck into the project, and hopefully can bring you an update in the next month in the life blog!
Covering ground with a commercial transport company
In our last month in the life blog, we told you how our web team were busy preparing for a huge new site for Walkers Transport. Well, they’ve been working hard and have already completed the design phase, and are well on with the development. We’re really enjoying working with such a large recognised client, and can’t wait to get the site live.

The team: learning, outings, and big plans!
The team have been busy outside of client work this month; Mariah, Simon, Ryan and Si attended the SearchLeeds conference and learnt lots about SEO. We came away with lots of excellent action points, which we’ve already started to implement. Plus, there was free beer!
We also had a fun afternoon at Shipley College, where we worked with teams of students competing in the CofE4B Challenge Cup. The challenges included bouncing ping pong balls into a cup, working out maths puzzles, and sign language word searches – and guess what? We brought home the cup! It’s now in pride of place in our office.
We’d like to thank Shipley College for having us, and wish the students all the best of luck as they leave education and head into the world of work.
We’ve also focused this month on improving our Agile working processes to make sure we’re working as efficiently as possible within the team. We’ve got lots of new whiteboards dotted around the studio, and we’re feeling super organised!
We’re following the World Cup closely, as we’re all rooting for our teams in the Xpand sweepstake. At the time of writing, we’ve got the following teams left in play:
Ryan: England and Croatia
Jag: Uruguay and Colombia
Si: is already out!
Simon: Brazil and France
And the takeaway pizza team: Sweden, Russia, and Switzerland
Who do you think is going to walk away with the pot?
Finally, we’ve got some big news for you – we’ve started to plan a brand new Xpand website, with a live target of January 2019. Just 6 months away! We’ll keep you updated on that one as it comes together.
