5 Marketing New Year Resolutions To Make in 2017 Image

According to studies, only eight percent [1] of people achieve their new year’s resolutions, are you one of the other 92%?

Here are five marketing new year’s resolutions to help excel your business in 2017!

1.     Make video a priority

Video marketing is an upward trend. In fact, more than 78% [2] of online users prefer to consume content via this medium!

2.     Create a marketing strategy and regularly review it

Have a written marketing strategy, even if it’s on one side of paper. Your strategy should outline where you want to take your business, how you’re planning on getting there and what marketing channels you’ll be using with costs where possible.

3.   Make SEO a priority

Being found on Google is crucial in today’s digital age. Ensure your website is always up to date with the latest requirements e.g. in January 2017, websites without HTTPS will be marked unsafe by Google.

4.     Network regularly

Seek out networking events in and around your local area and attend regularly. Well-known organisations such as BNI, Simply Networking, 4N and your local Chamber of Commerce can provide you with numerous opportunities to build your brand and win new business.

5.     Measure your marketing

Work out what your key performance indicators are and measure them religiously.

This will allow you to monitor whether your marketing strategy is working or not.

When you know what results you are getting from each marketing channel, you can optimise and tweak them to get the best from each medium.

By making these five points part of your new year’s resolution, you can make 2017 your best year yet!
